Sam's Idol Recap: Feb 12 and 13

Well I got good news… Rounding off the top 30, or should I say 31 (I will explain)… is the deepest pool of country talent we’ve seen since Season 10, which of course came down to Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina.

This week’s 2 part show started with contestants performing solo. The judges then called them into a room one by one and let them know if they made the Top 30. Although, some contestants were called in as a pair, and were forced to perform on the spot to decide who stayed and who went. That must be tough, because you want to celebrate if you make it, or break down if you didn’t, but you still have the walk out and elevator ride down with the other contestant.

Nice guy Harry Connick Jr. wasn’t so nice this week, ranting about how he doesn’t care if contestants are sleep deprived or sick, that is part of show business.

Wednesday night ended with us on the edge of our seat as two of our beloved country singers were in the “decision” room together. Ironically, they live 45 minutes apart in Alabama, and have now become close friends. Turns out, the judges kept them both!

I may be a bad judge of voice, because I don’t have one, but I am just not agreeing with some of the people the judges sent through.

Thursday night helped finish off the top 30 (15 girls, 15 guys)… But not without a twist. Dun dun dun.. The show ended with the judges not being able to decide between Neco Starr and Ben Briley. And what do you know? They kept them both, not for good though, America will vote who stays and who goes! The results of that will be revealed next week Tuesday on the 3 night event.

Tuesday besides finding out what guy goes, which stays, all 15 women will sing, Wednesday all the men will sing, and Thursday will be the results show. Dang, Carson and I will have to chat fast next Friday, as I will have so much to update you all on after 3 nights!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.. Or Happy Single’s Awareness!

Sam's Bachelor Recap: Feb 17

Nothing like catching the drama on the big screen…

I am housesitting this week and they have a projector.. I am not good at measurements, all I know is this thing takes up the whole wall.. I literally felt like I was there on the dates.

This week we are in Miami, Juan Pablo’s hometown (which I would not mind to be in after all this snow!).

He personally delivered the first envelope for the one-on-one date to Sharleen. As we saw last week she was having doubts and didn’t know if she could see herself introducing Juan Pablo to her family. The date was crucial for her to decide if there was something there. Not really sure how she made up her mind as all they ever do is kiss.

Nikki got the second one-on-one, and got to go to Camilla’s dance recital (Juan Pablo’s daughter). She then got to meet his family, as well as his ex, Camilla’s mom. I personally found it really awkward, but they are really good friends still, however she kind of stood there not knowing what to do on camera. The date ended with dinner in Marlin’s Park, again just your typical date..

Sharleen came down dressed up and informed the girls she wasn’t sure about her feelings. She then went to Juan Pablo’s room and told him she was leaving. She said she cared for him but didn’t see a forever with him. Classy move on her part, she didn’t want to take away a girl’s spot that deserved it. (And she would have, Juan was sure that he was going to give her a rose.)

The group date was Renee, Claire, Andi, and Chelsie. Andi got the rose, which guaranteed her to bring Juan Pablo home to meet her family.

And of course not an episode could go by without a catfight. Claire and Nikki went at it after Claire tried to come to make sure she didn’t say anything to offend Nikki. Nikki retaliated saying, “I don’t like you, we will never be friends…”

Nikki continued to make comments the rest of the episode about Claire being crazy, and ended up making herself look really immature. She sat like a mannequin during the cocktail party, and they showed a solid minute or so with Claire and Nikki just sitting next to each other in silence..

Chelsie was sent home in a very emotional goodbye..

Next week is a two night event, Monday being hometown dates and Tuesday being the fantasy suite, which the previews show both taking a turn for the worse.. I can hardly wait!!

Here are your final four.. I am still pulling for Renee, or better yet for her to be the next Bachelorette!

On a Finally Friday with the weekend filled with food, football, ground hogs and as always a lovely chat with Nashville Kat!  I for one was ready for the week to be over!  A pleasant surprise that  we did have though was meeting the latest addition to the show... Bill The Packer Fan!

Bill will be joining the show each week on Fridays and can't wait to hear what he'll be bringing to the show!  Don't forget to check out Sam's Idol recap!

Thursday, January 30, 2014

A very mild start to the day... In comparison to what we've been experiencing anyway!  The coolest thing about today I think is the fact that it is Thursday and that of course is connected to Friday and we all love the arrival of the weekend!

Chatted a bit about the ACM's nod that were announced yesterday.... I think Kacey is going to clean up at these!  Eddie's got a posting and his predictions on his page and in his blog!  Diamond Rio ticket winning with more of that with Eddie as well!

Have a Great Day and thanks for your time!
